I offer lessons in throwing and handbuilding to one or two students at a time.

I offer a three-session block, which will take you from beginner to creating a finished glazed piece or pieces, or alternatively a one-off taster session. 

I can supply gift vouchers if you wish to give lessons as a present.

Three-session block: 

1. You throw at least four or five pots on the wheel.
   (Your pots then need to dry to a leather-hard state so that you can handle them at the next session – this can take a day or two.)

2. You finish (turn) and decorate your pots.
   (Your pots then need to dry completely and are bisque fired – this takes a week or two.) 

3. You complete and glaze your pots.
   (Your pots are fired again and are then ready to be collected.)
     

Each session is around two hours long. 

• A one-off session costs £38 each for two people or £48 for one person. (If you then wish to book a follow -on session to glaze your work, this is charged at the same rate.) 

• A three-session block costs £95 each for two people or £130 for one person. 

My times are:

• Monday and Thursday 10–12

• Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10–12 and 2–4 

• Saturday 10–12.

The cost includes materials and firings, however due to the increased cost of energy I have had to introduce a small fee for finished pots. I therefore charge £5 per kg (£1 per 200g) for fired work, payable on collection. A small bowl/cup weighs about 100g.

Due to lack of storage I can only keep finished or part-finished work for 6 months unless by prior agreement. 

There is a 10% discount on any purchases made during the sessions.
